Young musicians are at the heart of BlueJam and propel us in the right direction! Many of our current tutors and leaders have been with the organisation from the beginning, gone away to work or study and come back either to live or visit for sessions or projects.
There is always a demand for band workshops – as a place where young musicians can develop their own sound and identity and learn the skills to play effectively together in a group.
Currently our band workshop with Sean Haythornthwaite is putting together some great pop tunes.
We also have breakout spaces where people can work on their own ideas. Our focus on composition and songwriting has contributed to helping young people develop great musicianship skills and a passion and commitment for helping others to find their voice.
The new series of sessions will be on Thursdays 5.15 – 7pm at Penrith Music Centre @ North Lakes School.
Anyone Year 5 and upwards who wants to get together with other young musicians to write their own music is welcome to come along – if you want to find out more,

£4 per session
Beginners welcome – this is a relaxed session where you can gain confidence in playing, singing and having a go at writing stuff, and make new friends.
We have partnered with Brewery Arts, Kendal and Soundwave in Young Vocal Leader programmes and have run our own bespoke programme of training, mentoring and work experience for the last 10 years.
