BEWCASTLE SCHOOL
The group created this lovely piece and are keen to try it out on different instruments that they have in school. It is based on this short sequence.
They also created a rap using sampled gamelan sounds and creating their own drum track and words, for the Rheged Shadows performance.

Here are three of the tunes composed for the Arts Award Gam-A-Jam project at James Rennie School.
BlueJam team members who are professional composers joined forces with practitioners who were writing original music for the first time to create 6 pieces for the Morecambe Kite Festival in July 2016.
The group had varied experience of working with the gamelan from years of playing and studying to one taster workshop with BlueJam so the compositions offered an interesting creative response to the musical world the gamelan encapsulates.
